Habema Provided Free Health Services For Julukoma Village Residents

TimesAsiaNews.com | Beoga Puncak, Papua – The Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Para Raider 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, part of the TNI HABEMA Command Operations that conducted Border Security Operations for RI-PNG, particularly in Puncak Regency, Highland Papua Province, organized a Territorial Activity titled “Free Health Services” for residents of Julukoma Village, Beoga District, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

This Territorial Activity aimed to assist local residents who faced significant challenges in accessing proper healthcare facilities in their daily lives.

In addition to actively conducting security operations within its area of responsibility, Satgas Yonif 323 Kostrad regularly visited remote areas that lacked adequate medical access. The Free Health Services included general health checkups, treatment for minor illnesses, vitamin distribution, and education on the importance of maintaining hygiene and adopting healthy lifestyles.

Commander of the Beoga Stronghold (Titik Kuat), First Lieutenant Infantry Ari Surahman, stated that these health services represented TNI’s tangible concern for the people of Papua. “We were committed to ensuring that communities in remote areas could access adequate healthcare services. This was part of our duty as protectors and servants of the Indonesian people,” he said.

The initiative was warmly welcomed by the local community. Julukoma Village Head, Yulianus Wanimbo, expressed his gratitude to the Beoga Stronghold TNI Task Force members for their concern for the health of the villagers. “We were very grateful for the presence of the TNI, which was always ready to help, especially in the field of health. This meant so much to us who lived far from medical facilities,” he stated.
